For those of you who have been here a lot I write poetry. I never used to share my poetry but I’ve been able to do that on here, now I’d like to take a big step forward with it since I’ve received good feedback from it for the last year.

Last year was the first time I ever took my poetry ad performed it in front of an audience though. It was super scary but once I was done I felt amazing!! I wanted to do it again, but unfortunately I never did. So with the help of my cousin and his friend we’ve been able to put together a spoken word event of our own.

You will not be disappointed :D

I’m sooooo excited for this one!! It’s close to my heart and it’s taking a lot of courage to do. You have no idea how I never would have done this a couple years ago. My shyness was threw the roof!!

But now…I’m going in on this one.

The other artists that are also worth seeing, and I’m serious when I say they’re the shit, don’t sleep on them include Boonaa Mohammed, Ian Kamau, Nurse Karen, and Kayim. Google them. Find them on facebook. They’re legit.
